Advisory Summary
📌 ◆ Summary — Cisco Unified Intelligence Center SQL Injection
⚠️ Cisco reports a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Unified Intelligence Center (CUIC). An authenticated, local attacker may be able to trigger blind SQL injection due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input.
- Attack precondition: attacker must have valid credentials for the affected CUIC instance.
- Attack result: a successful exploit could enable the attacker to extract information from the internal CUIC database (notably via blind inference rather than direct output).
- ✅ Cisco has released software updates to address the issue.
- ❌ No workaround is provided in the advisory—patching is the primary remediation path.
- enforce strong credential policies and MFA where supported in your environment,
- restrict CUIC access to management subnets and tightly control user accounts.
