Advisory Summary
🚨 Multiple Vulnerabilities Addressed in HPE Unified OSS Console (UOC) & UOC Assurance Monitoring (UOCAM)
HPE has released HPESBNW05146 rev.1 to address multiple security vulnerabilities affecting HPE Unified OSS Console (UOC) and HPE Unified OSS Console Assurance Monitoring (UOCAM). For data center and operations teams, this is a timely reminder to treat management/observability components as high-value targets—because weaknesses there can translate into broader visibility loss, configuration tampering, or unauthorized access paths.
- Review the advisory details and affected versions described in the bulletin.
- Upgrade/patch UOC and UOCAM to the fixed versions specified by HPE.
- Validate deployment health post-update (console services, monitoring workflows, user access).
- Re-check access controls (roles, admin accounts, network exposure, and authentication settings) around the console endpoints.
- Increase monitoring for unusual login/activity patterns on UOC/UOCAM if exposure is internet- or broadly network-facing.
- gain unauthorized administrative capability,
- interfere with assurance/monitoring visibility,
- or pivot toward other systems managed through the console.
- Apply patches on a priority basis where these consoles are production-critical.
- Ensure the console interfaces are restricted via network segmentation / firewall rules.
- Enforce least privilege for console users and rotate credentials where feasible.
